Some of you may have seen that book 3 in the Bloodline Alliance trilogy was finished last week – or at least the first draft was – but what does this mean now? Book 2 is currently with beta readers with a release date in March and book 3 will need to undergo a few rounds of edits before it gets out to betas and ready for publishing, but this should be sometime around July (sooner, if I can!). Read on to find out what’s in store for the Bloodline Alliance world.
Okay, so we’ve not seen the last of some characters because another trilogy is in the works, this time focusing on two characters you’re about to see more of in book 2. One of those characters, Wyatt, was introduced in book 1 and something about him sparked off my imagination. I still wasn’t at the point of him having his own trilogy but by book 3 I felt Wyatt had more to show.

The next trilogy will centre around a taskforce that Wyatt is heading up (potential trilogy title: Bloodline Alliance Taskforce?) to protect and serve the paranormal community. This would stand alone as it’s own trilogy but of course, readers will get that little bit more from having read the original trilogy with Blake and Kayla. It will very much link and you’ll recognise certain characters but I wanted new readers to be able to pick up the beginning of the Taskforce series and not be lost in the Bloodline Alliance world.

I have only just started thinking about this so there’s not that much more to go on. I lie. I have lots of ideas, but I’ll be starting those first stages of planning shortly which I’m debating taking you along with me in a series of videos. I thought it might be quite cool and interesting to show, and see for myself, the entire process of planning/writing/editing/publishing a novel. What do you think? I also may do read alongs of the work as it’s written; this was similar to what I saw another author do but I’d be tweaking to show that first draft vs edit drafts. I think it would be awesome to share that with you!

Short blog today to share the news of the Bloodline Alliance expansion and some ideas I have – all of which I am super excited about! Let me know what you think below or any ideas you might have regarding both the new trilogy and taking you along on the draft-publishing journey!
